Let’s talk about this project
This project focused on transforming a historically important foundation presentation into a stronger visual narrative that could inform, persuade, and inspire support.
The deck needed to feel serious, credible, and respectful while still carrying the energy, urgency, and cultural weight of the Black Panther Party’s legacy.

What was our approach?
We created a presentation structure that balanced historical context, mission-led messaging, and future-facing project goals.
- Clarified: We organised the content into digestible sections covering the foundation’s purpose, achievements, legacy work, museum plans, monument vision, timeline, and requests.
- Elevated: We used a bold visual style to help the presentation feel more professional, memorable, and suitable for stakeholders, funders, and partners.
- Focused: We highlighted the foundation’s core needs clearly, including introductions, locations, funding support, and long-term museum development.
- Connected: We brought together archival imagery, bold typography, and structured layouts to connect the audience emotionally to the legacy being preserved.

Preserving a Legacy Through Design
The presentation needed to do more than share information. It had to help people understand why this work matters now.
- History: The deck positioned the Black Panther Party’s story as a global movement with lasting cultural, political, and community impact.
- Legacy: It highlighted the need for a permanent museum, public monument, and archive-based education around the Party’s work.
- Momentum: The presentation framed the foundation’s accomplishments and future plans as part of a clear, active roadmap.
- Support: The final sections made the foundation’s requests simple and direct, helping potential supporters understand how they could contribute.
Let’s talk visuals
The visual direction used a strong black, white, and yellow palette to create contrast, focus, and authority while allowing historic photography to remain central.
- Archival: Black-and-white photography gave the deck authenticity and helped ground the presentation in real historical moments.
- Bold: Large typography, high-contrast layouts, and strong section headers gave the slides a powerful editorial feel.
- Structured: Each section was designed with clear hierarchy, allowing complex information to be scanned quickly.
- Symbolic: The yellow accent colour added energy and emphasis while echoing the urgency and activism behind the foundation’s work.
- Immersive: Timeline slides, museum concept visuals, and photo-heavy layouts helped the audience imagine the future visitor experience.
